Prehistoric Valley

HC Dinosaur developed Prehistoric Valley, a 22-unit animatronic dinosaur walkthrough set inside a major zoo in Sydney. The attraction follows a winding path through native Australian bushland, featuring a towering Mamenchisaurus, a snarling Carnotaurus, herds of Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus, and interactive baby-dinosaur encounter zones. Units were matched to the landscape, with naturalistic rockwork, mist effects, and water features integrated by the zoo's landscaping team. HC Dinosaur supplied custom animal-safe materials, motion-activated behavior programming, and a low-noise drive system chosen to avoid disturbing the zoo's living animal exhibits. The project also included elevated viewing decks, accessible pathways, educational signage, and complete operator training for zoo staff, delivered under a strict schedule that avoided peak visitor seasons. A dedicated keeper-access corridor was built behind the trail so zoo staff could maintain the attraction without crossing public paths, and every species placard was co-developed with the zoo's education team to support school curricula. Seasonal programming changes keep the experience fresh for returning visitors.
